Off-Road Race Track ‘Emirates Motorplex’ Donates AED1 Million to Sandooq Al Watan

- The motorsport venue is the first institution out of the Emirate of Umm al-Quwain to support the national initiative.
Abu Dhabi, July 18th , 2017 – Sandooq Al Watan, a national initiative launched by prominent Emirati businessmen to support research projects for the post-oil era, has received a AED1-million contribution from Emirates Motorplex, an off-road race track located in Umm al-Quwain and the first institution out of the emirate to support the national initiative.
The Motorplex will be added to Sandooq Al Watan’s Prime Funders list, which compiles the names of all contributors – individuals or institutions – until the end of the Year of Giving 2017.
His Excellency Sheikh Marwan bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of Emirates Motorplex, said: “We are contributing to Sandooq Al Watan in order to be playing our part in the Year of Giving initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and which reflects the views of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who said: ‘We are partners, and we must all serve our country – each to his own ability.’”

We are honoured to be included on the ‘Prime Funders’ list, among Sandooq Al Watan’s earliest supporters.”
The Board of Directors at Sandooq Al Watan welcomed Emirates Motorplex as the first institution to support the fund from the Emirate of Umm al-Quwain, reaffirming that this generous donation awards the venue a spot on the fund’s Prime Funders list of early supporters. noting that the enthusiasm exhibited by local businessmen towards the fund reflects their commitment to empowering the national workforce and supporting them to build a better future for the UAE.
“Emirates Motorplex is the first organisation to support Sandooq Al Watan from the Emirate of Umm al-Quwain,” the Board noted, hoping that it would set a precedent that encourages establishments across the emirate and the country to adopt social responsibility as a value and support the fund’s plans to build a sustainable knowledge economy in the UAE.
