Social Entrepreneurship
To Encourage social innovation by Emiratis through social entrepreneurship, Sandooq Al Watan will provide grants to aspiring social entrepreneurs. A social enterprise is a mix between a business and a charity. It seeks to address a need in society by creating a business that generates revenue while meeting a social need. Helping the community, not maximizing profits, is its primary goal. Unlike a charity, a social enterprise is designed to support itself financially through the work it does without the need for ongoing outside donations. During November 2022 we will conduct the first pitch sessions for Emirati entrepreneurs to propose a social enterprise. More details will be released in October 2022.
