Description
This initiative is designed to equip university students with an appreciation of the growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday life, and the knowledge and tools to excel in AI, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
For students, Student Training Initiatives will offer AI-focused seminars, extracurricular activities, and project-based learning for university levels. This hands-on experience, supported by mentorship, will develop their AI-related skills.
The initiative also includes National Competitions, which will encourage students to apply AI techniques to solve real-world challenges. These competitions include a Microsoft global technology competition for student founders turning innovative ideas into market-ready startups.
Top Prizes for UAE:
- 1st UAE place: AED 50,000
- 2nd UAE place: AED 30,000
- 3rd UAE place: AED 20,000
Eligibility Criteria
This initiative is open to university students of 18 years and older.
All team members (up to four students per team) must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution that grants high-school or college/university degrees (including home schools) between October 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025.
In the case that you own a business or a are student founder, your business must not have received any dilutive funding.
In the case that you own a business or a are student founder you must not have received more than $100,000 USD in external, non-dilutive funding.
You must not be an employee or intern of Microsoft Corporation, or an employee of a Microsoft subsidiary, between October 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025.
