ABU DHABI, 29th May, 2025 (WAM) — Sandooq Al Watan organised an introductory meeting for the fourth edition of the “Jusoor International” initiative, which opens doors for outstanding recent Emirati university graduates to live, train, and work at leading German companies in the fields of technology, engineering, and medical sciences.

The initiative is held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Sandooq Al Watan.

The meeting witnessed the participation of 25 university graduates who were selected according to specific criteria to travel to Germany and immerse themselves in real-life work experiences within top German companies operating in advanced technical, industrial, and medical sectors.

The event was attended by Yasser Al Gergawi, Director-General of Sandooq Al Watan, along with several German experts overseeing the programme.

Al Gergawi stated that the meeting included specialised training and orientation workshops focusing on life and work culture in Germany, workplace regulations, and insights into training and employment opportunities within German companies.

He noted that the programme offers participants a 2.5-month experience in a cutting-edge work environment, fully sponsored by Sandooq Al Watan, including international experts dedicated to supervising and mentoring the participants throughout their time in Germany.

Al Gergawi conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to the participants and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting this pioneering initiative, which empowers talented Emirati youth through training and employment.

He emphasised that “Jusoor International” reflects the Foundation’s dedication to preparing youth for a sustainable knowledge-based economy by equipping them with hands-on experience in advanced industrial settings.

He added that Sheikh Nahyan commended the significant support provided by the Al Rostamani Group for the Jusoor UAE initiative, highlighting their strong national commitment and role as key partners in the initiative’s success.

Al Gergawi also noted that the Foundation has ensured a comprehensive programme and suitable training environment that allows participants to explore the latest in German industry while representing their national culture abroad. He stressed that participants embody Emirati national identity and values, and that the programme offers a valuable opportunity to gain diverse skills in personal finance management, budgeting, and adapting to European workplace cultures.

Participants expressed pride in being part of Jusoor International, emphasising their determination to make the most of the opportunity and acquire advanced German knowledge and expertise that will qualify them for promising career prospects. They also praised the continuous support of Sandooq Al Watan and the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak.

Jusoor International was launched as an initiative by the UAE-Germany 4IR Taskforce in 2020 and was officially adopted by Sandooq Al Watan in 2021. Since then, the programme has grown significantly in training quality and participant numbers, starting with 13 students in its first cohort in 2022. It has since expanded to its fourth edition this year, hosting 25 participants.
